The city of Dalworthington Gardens, surrounded by Arlington, has accepted a high bid of $15,311 an acre from XTO with a 28 percent royalty. In addition, the city gets 3 percent (an "override") on production within the city's boundaries but not on city-owned property. That topped Chesapeake's $15,821 bonus with a 27.5 percent royalty, and Paloma Resources' $13,000 bonus with a 27 percent and a 2 percent override for wells on city property. The XTO lease includes an 18-month initial term and a 2-year option at $10,000 an acre. That is the highest residential bonus yet reported in Tarrant County.
In a new twist, the city also negotiated the same $15,311 bonus, and a 25 percent royalty, for residents within 5,000 feet of an XTO drill site. Enchanted Gardens, a 90-home subdivision,
promptly signed a lease for the same terms with Paloma, Dalworthington Gardens is bordered by Bowen Road South on its east, Pleasant Ridge Road on its south, Kelly Perkins on its west and Pioneer Parkway on its north.

I live right behind this site in the apartments on Spanish Trail and Arkansas, across from Veteran's Park. This site located in DWG makes so much noise that it's annoying! It's 2:40am and I was startled by what sounded to me as someone breaking a door down. I went outside only to realize it was coming from the drilling site. Don't they put up a wall or barrier to block off this kind of noise? Why does this site NOT HAVE A NOISE BARRIER PUT UP? As a student at UTA, studying can be hard when it comes to noises from this site. Not sure how the residents of DWG that live within 5000ft of this site handle the noise. Guess the royalties are worth keeping the complaints to a minimum.

Lawyer, I have never know a lawyer who used "dude" in his vocabulary. Are you delusional? Yep, I am pissed off but not at
the world, Just Fort Worth, and the cheating going on with most
of us on our mineral leases. If you really are a lawyer, step up
to the plate and help alot of us who got the shaft on bonus money.
I'll be waiting to hear from you.
