What about the post that man made in the letters blog, that after
he did some research on his minerals, he found out that a large
area of Bedford mineral rights is owned by an old west texas
ranching family? Bedford may have saved themselve's all the
destruction of drilling for no royalties. I can guarantee the
title landmen are hunting down the heirs of the mineral owners
right now and sending them letters.

OK Bedford! Way to go! The arrogance portrayed by the Star Telegram editorial board this morning cannot be believed. The democratic process worked in Bedford and the editorial staff thinks that is just horrible. Bedford residents have had the opportunity to look around Fort Worth and the damage to our neighborhoods by irresponsible elected officials and the drilling companies and had the common decency to tell the drillers...stay at least 600 feet away. Fort Worth has the same ordinance, but we never follow it. Perhaps Bedford will be strong enough to show everyone else that the drilling companies are not our friends.
