Two South Arlington neighborhoods -- Villages of Fairfield and North Cravens -- have joined up to try and negotiate a community gas lease.
"We now have more 1,700 homes that we are covering," Bill Tinsley, Bill_Tinsley@sbcglobal.net, a Villages of Fairfield organizer, reports. "The two areas held an association signature blitz this past weekend, and it was a huge success. We plan on having more blitz until we get the numbers we need."
The neighborhoods are at Matlock and Southeast Green Oaks Road, west of Arlington Municipal Airport.
Four Sevens, on behalf of Chesapeake Energy, is offering to sign leases for a $5,000 per-acre signing bonus, standard 25 percent net royalty that subtracts costs, and five-year term, the neighborhoods say.

Dale resources has provided us with a $17,000 Min offer. Meaning that our floor is 17K. If we are able to get enough neighborhood support, that 17K will go higher. So please sign your agreement slips and return them to me as soon as you can.
Please see our website for additional information and meeting notices
