State District Judge Bob McGrath threw out a lawsuit today that was trying to stop drilling at the so-called Trinity Trees site, just off the Trinity River in Fort Worth.
McGrath agreed with the city of Fort Worth's argument that plaintiff Melissa Kohout had no standing to sue. Click here to read S-T writer Mike Lee's story.

So why do you think you can sue a company for violating the terms of a lease they have with someone else then?

And if I wanted to paint my House Purple
hang a Bird of Paradise in my Tree
and Drill me a private water well in
my back yard, which by the way, I happen
to own my property and my house and my
tree and my mineral rights, all the mere
citizen's who didn't like it, would have
no standing to sue me either.
What is it about you people who just don't
understand the benefits of private land
and mineral right ownership in Texas?
It certainly has it's perks against
nay sayers.

BS-
You're absolutely right. "Mere citizens" have no standing, and must know their place.

Impersonating a person, AKA Identity theft
is against the law. Using the handle
BeverlySue to blog- knowing full well
who's name it is, and it is damn well
not yours, especially in this forum,
is fraud. You are warned.

Hey Steno and Kat, why don't you go hang out with the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. His comments and your viewpoints should line up nicely.

From the story:
"She's merely a citizen," Assistant City Attorney Ted Gorski said.
Pretty well sums it up.
