New Jersey lawmakers approve fracking ban

The New Jersey Legislature has sent Republican Gov. Chris Christie a measure to ban natural gas drilling that uses the controversial practice of hydraulic fracturing (aka "fracking") in completion of wells.

If Christie signs the bill, it will be the first statewide ban on fracking in the U.S.
