Plano-based oil producer Denbury Resources will pay $191 million to Cimarex Energy Co. for a methane and helium plant under construction in Wyoming, according to a report in the Casper Star-Tribune
Denbury already had a 42.5 percent ownership interest in the plant, for which it paid $115 million.
Denbury made headlines in 2010 with its $4.5 billion purchase of Fort Worth-based oil and natural gas producer Encore Acquisition Co.
Denbury's primary focus has been oil production enhanced by injecting carbon dioxide into geological formations to increase the amount of petroleum recovered.
