Denton imposes 120-day moratorium on issuance of new natural gas drilling permits

The Denton City Council has unanimously approved a 120-day moratorium on issuance of new natural gas drilling and production permits as it moves to finish an overhaul of the municipal drilling ordinance.

The moratorium does not apply to applications already on file with the city.
