Is there too much "irrational exuberance" plaguing analysis of America's energy situation?

A wave of what former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan might have called "irrational exuberance" is washing over a great deal of energy analysis these days, writes Steven Mufson in a Washington Post commentary.

Iran's saber ratting over oil shows that the energy crisis is still with us, Mufson says.
