Revenge of the hydrocarbons

Fossil fuels--oil, natural gas and coal--are stil vital to meeting U.S. energy needs, writes Bernard Weinstein, associate director of SMU's Maguire Energy Institute, in an op-ed artcle in the Star-Telegram.

"We simply cannot meet all of the nation's energy needs through renewables, efficiency and conservation alone," Weinstein writes.
