FTS International, formerly Frac Tech, said today it named Greg Lanham CEO, succeeding Marc Rowland, who is retiring. The change is effective immediately, FTS said. Rowland, who had a long career at Chesapeake Energy as chief financial officer, had been CEO of FTS since late 2010. He had served on the FTS board since 2006, when Chesapeake bought 20 percent of the company. Lanham has been on the FTS board since May 2011, when an investor group led by Temasek Holdings of Singapore bought out founders Dan and Ferris Wilks. Lanham was managing director of energy investments as well as managing director for Australia and New Zealand for Temasek. Prior to that he spent 20 years with Anadarko Petroleum, FTS said. He has a petroleum engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma.
