Fort Worth-based Range Resources earned $19.2 million, or 12 cents a share, in the third quarter on revenues of $442 million, the natural gas producer said Tuesday. Not counting unusual items, Range said it earned $57 million, or 35 cents a share, topping the consensus Wall Street estimate of 30 cents. It said it started delivering ethane from Marcellus Shale production in Pennsylvania to the Mariner West pipeline in July and expects the project to become fully operational by November. Range is one of the largest producers in the Marcellus, the largest U.S. natural gas field by production. The company had previously announced record production during the quarter.
