Ken Huseman, CEO of Fort Worth-based Basic Energy Services, intends to retire at the end of 2013, the company announced today. The board intends to appoint Roe Patterson, currently senior vice president and chief operating officer, to succeed Huseman, who is expected to remain a director. Patterson is expected to be named a director when he assumes the CEO post, on or about Jan. 1.
Huseman has led the company, which relocated its headquarters from Midland last fall, for more than 14 years. Patterson joined Basic in 2006 and has held his current post since March 2011.
