Northeast Fort Worth Mineral Leasing group to meet

Northeast Fort Worth Minerals Leasing Task Force, representing seven neighborhoods, will present an update on its work as part of the John T. White Neighborhood Association's regular meeting, set for 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the East Regional Library, 6301 Bridge St. Besides the John T. White group, membership includes Sandybrook, Burton Place, Cobblestone Square, Mallard Cove, Emory Place and Blake Meadows. Click here for a map of the area, which is bounded by Interstate 30, the Trinity River, S.E. Loop 820 and Eastchase Parkway. Organizers say they have about 300 letters of intent from property owners and will be soliciting more this weekend. Glenn Neasbitt and Mike Dean have been named co-chairs of the task force, and John Barber was chosen as an attorney.

Northeast Fort Worth neighborhoods combine forces

       The Burton Place, Cobblestone Square, John T. White & Sandybrook neighborhood associations report the creation of the Northeast Fort Worth Mineral Leasing Task Force to negotiate a natural gas lease with strong safety provisions and financial terms. Organizers say the group represents approximately 1,916 acres and 1,597 mineral owners. It started in February and is interviewing legal counsel to assist in negotiations.
