The Dallas Cowboys may be taking their whole America's Team act to Arlington in '09 to play in the $1 billion-plus house that Jerry and the Taxpayers built, but you won't see Irving crying in its coffee.
Who needs Texas Stadium, when you've got a swanky new convention center and huge entertainment complex on the way in Las Colinas? It's likely to include restaurants, bars, some retail and a medium-sized concert hall.
And there's a Cowtown connection. Billy Bob Barnett, co-founder of our FW's dear 'ol Billy Bob's, is attached to develop it with his partner and program the entertainment. This isn't a done deal; it's hit some snags in the past, but here's hoping Irving can pull it off and move into its post-Cowboys world.
