Flower Mound man gets 50 years for killing stepson

A Flower Mound man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty today to killing his 3-year-old stepson. The medical examiner's office said that Tanner Webb had 43 separate injuries when he died in October 2006.

Weatherford thief makes off with guns

Police say Dallas coach assaulted his wife

The head football coach at Bryan Adams High School in Dallas faces aggravated assault charges after police say he struck his wife with a cement block, took her keys and cell phone and wouldn't let her get medical treatment. He's out on bail and she's been treated for her injuries, which doctors said included flesh being torn away from her skull.

Dad sentenced for killing man he thought molested daughter

Calling the case a "Shakesperean tragedy brought into real life," a Connecticutt judge has sentenced a lawyer to 12 years in prison for killing a neighbor because he thought the man had molested his 2-year-old daughter. No molestation was ever proved.

9-year-old boy charged with killing baby

Authorities in Trenton, N.J., have charged a 9-year-old boy with beating an 11-month-old baby to death at a home day care and say that the owner of the center with endangering the child. The baby's father also says the owner tried to cover up what happened.

Governor commutes death sentence

In a rare move, Gov. Rick Perry has commuted a condemned prisoner's sentence to life in prison. Perry commuted the death sentence of Kenneth Eugene Foster, who drive the getaway car after a 1996 murder. The commutation came six hours before Foster was scheduled to die.

Trophy Club nails a suspect in tool thefts

Trophy Club police say they've arrested an employee of the town's parks department in connection with the theft of thousands of dollars worth of tools taken from a city shop. Police said the tools were pawned in Dallas and that the employee's name appears on the pawn ticket.
