The decision this week by the U.S. Supreme Court to accept a case from Kentucky calling into question the constitutionality of lethal injection apparently has had an effect on an execution in Texas.
The Supreme Court granted a stay yesterday to Carlton Turner Jr., who was scheduled for execution Thursday night.
"All I can say is, all glory to God," Turner is reported to have told prison officials when informed of the stay
.
Turner, shown at left, was sentenced to die for killing his parents in 1998.
