SWAT team members in Pompano Beach, Fla., shot and killed a man Friday who was upset over his condominium association dues and had taken two association employees hostage.
A Broward County Sheriff's spokesman said that Patrick Dellisanti, 57, stormed in the complex's clubhouse and demanded to speak with an association employee. He told two women there that he was upset over the fees, police said, and waved a revolver in the air before shooting at the ground.
He released the women and emerged from the clubhouse, but did not follow orders to put his gun down. Officers shot him when he put the gun to his head, the spokesman said.

Are you kidding me? The SWAT Team killed him when he put the gun to HIS head, not THEIRS? DHUH!!!
Our policemen, bless their hearts are eithergetting dumber by the second or are too trigger happy. He put the gun to HIS head - why couldn't they have just shot his arm, elbow or hand?
They gave him what he wanted. Death.

If these SWAT guys are such crack shots like FBI's Lon Horiouchi (who blew an unarmed woman's head off at Ruby Ridge), why didn't they just shoot the pistol out of his hand? I mean, shooting a guy who is about to shoot himself seems pointless. Of course, perhaps that's not what today's SWAT is all about. Sounds like an execution team to me. Wally

they shoot for mass area. hmm i'm going to guess that is the torso and abdomen. that is something no officer wishes to go thru and there is nothing to say that the man would have kept the gun to his head, hghe could have easily turn it to an officer. i dont like it that the gentleman died, but i applaud the police for doing their job.

Ahh come on folks, don't be so hard on them, after all wouldn't you be upset too if you were called away from the NFL draft at the donut shop?
