Police in Granbury are dealing with a double homicide -- the community's first slayings this year.
Susan Tallant, special correspondent, and Staff Writer Melody McDonald report that two women were found dead early Saturday morning inside an SUV that was parked in front of a plumbing business.
Both women appeared to have been shot in the head, police said.
The Texas Rangers have been called in to help. Also at the scene Saturday were forensic specialists from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
For you out-of-town readers, Granbury is a nice community about 40 miles south of Fort Worth. There's a popular lake there and numerous bed and breakfast inns.

Granbury is not a nice town, there has been so many outsiders move in and so many crooked longtimers there also, it is so political. I was born and raised there and now hate to even go back and visit.

I have lived in granbury for 26 years and outsiders keep moving in every day and traffic and crime keep getting worse and worse. Carrie is right. It is very political and crooked. I hope they solve this homicide because they were very good friends of mine. Both ladies had very big hearts and smiles for their kids. Please find who did this.
