When U.S. marshals apprehended fugitive Indiana investor Marcus Schrenker at a Florida camp ground, he was bleeding profusely from self-inflicted wrist wounds and was muttering the word "die," authorities said.
Schrenker, 38, is accused of faking his own death in a plane crash in Alabama. Authorities say he parachuted to the ground and fled on a motorcycle he'd stashed near the crash scene.
No charges have been filed publicly against Schrenker yet in the ruse, but he could face charges in Florida. The Associated Press quoted an anonymous law enforcement official as saying prosecutors in Florida are considering whether to charge him with two federal crimes.
One possible charge would be making a false distress call and the other for recklessly letting his plane crash.
Back in the Indiana, however, Schrenker faces an arrest warrant issued Tuesday on felony fraud charges that allege he acted as a financial adviser after his state license expired on Dec. 31.
And there's more. Authorities say that Schrenker was fleeing a divorce and a state investigation of his investment businesses. Investors have accused Schrenker of stealing possibly millions in savings that they had entrusted to him.

This is scum of the scum. First he rips people off, then he radios in a fake distress call only to let his plane crash within yards of houses. He only cares about himself and I hope he goes straight to prison when he can only care about and try to protect himself.
