Two college students in California are facing suspicion of animal cruelty charges after police say they tortured two hamsters with a cigarette lighter and posted a video of it on Facebook.
The men are 18 and 19 years old.
Police say that the men battered and used the lighter to torture the rodents, one of which died. The other hamster recovered after receiving veterinary care.
The video led police to investigate the pair, the Associated Press reported.

My name is Bobby Thornton and im the owner of Hammy's Hamster House, we rescue and adopt furry critters, and we have done alot in our short time of operation. This story makes me sick and disgusted, I am really hopeing that these boys get more than just probation for thier tortureing acts of violence. It upsets me to end that they did this then posted it on facebook, but as we all know the courts will fail and these boys may grow up to be serial killers. MAYBE ONE JUDGE WILL TAKE ACTIONS UPON THESE BOYS AND SEEK REVENGE FOR THESE ANIMALS.
