A former beauty queen who grew up in the Metroplex city of Carrollton was sentenced Thursday in Arizona to two years in prison and six years' probation for kidnapping and torturing her ex-boyfriend, the Associated Press reported.
Kumari Fulbright, 28, was sentenced in Pima County after pleading guilty last year to conspiracy to commit kidnapping and aggravated assault as part of plea agreement. She was arrested in 2007 after her ex-beau told police he was tied up and held captive for up to 10 hours, tortured and robbed, the Associated Press reported.
She was was named Miss Pima County in 2005 and Miss Desert Sun in 2006 and was a contestant in the Miss Arizona pageant, the AP reported.
