A while back, we told you about Erika Gandara, the lone police officer patrolling the streets of Guadalupe, just southeast of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
The El Paso Times reported over the weekend that Gandara has been kidnapped.
She took over as the small farming area's sole police officer in June 2009, when another officer was shot dead. It was the same week Gandara joined the force as a dispatcher. Over time, she became the only member of the force.
Gandara had told the Times in an earlier interview that she did not fear for her life and had not received threats.
Guadalupe is about two miles across the U.S. border from Tornillo, Texas, near El Paso.

Good luck to her, she's a hero. Sad to say, but I saw this coming.

I guess because we don't have the ability to get oil from them, we should not send troops over there to "protect" those citizens like elsewhere such as Iraq.
