A New York television weather woman who sometimes filled in on Good Morning America has admitted that she lied months ago when she told police that she was nearly raped while jogging.
WABC/Channel 7 has suspended Heidi Jones and is investigating, the New York Post reported.
Her co-workers went from sympathetic to outraged, The Post reported.
"It was an outrageous lie," a WABC staff member told The Post.
The paper reported that police sources said Jones admitted to making the false report because she suffered from "personal and professional pressures" and wanted "sympathy" over a personal issue.
"She was deeply unhappy, personally and professionally," a newsroom source to The Post.

What is this world coming to? If it's not apparent we need a shift in values, a paradigm shift, and need God more than ever, the only One who can change our selfish, self-righteous, ego centered hearts, then it never will be, I'm afraid, except to those of us who will see Him in all His glory when he comes to redeem and cleanse the world.

and feminists claim that women never make up stories of rape... yet they don't want false report crooks to be held liable.

I don't approve of what she did but did anyone consider the turmoil her life may be in. I would forgive her and I know Christ would forgive her too.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

If a guy were on the receiving end of those accusations, he would've been crucified.

Yeah right. She probably didn't want to continue talking about it, for a hundred reasons or none at all. That's her business. Events such as this should raise awareness, not criminalize a victim. If you're sitting there judging her then it's important that you consider the fact that you weren't there and you don't know anything.
