A Buffalo, N.Y., television executive was convicted of second-degree murder Monday for killing and beheading wife who had filed for divorce against thim.
The jury deliberated for a little more than an hour to reach its verdict against Muzzammil Hassan, television station WGRZ Channel reported.
Hassan acted as his own attorney and he tried to convince jurors that his late wife, Aasiya, was the abuser in the relationship not him. He was led away in handcuffs, the station reported.
Hassan admitted he killed his wife at the couple's television station offices in February 2009 and then cut her head off, the station reported.
