A 12-year-old girl in Michigan is accused of trying to rob a store with a loaded gun.
TV news station WXYZ reports that the girl went into the Country Lake Market in Highland Township wearing a bandanna over her face and demanded money.
The employee recognized the young girl and was able to disarm her with other staff members helping to hold her until police arrived.
Investigators told reporters that the 9mm handgun was stolen from a neighbor and apparently the young robber had a key to the neighbor's home.
The girl has been charged as a juvenile in the case and is currently being held in Oakland County Children's Village.

Criminals are "getting" younger every day. What is this world coming to? Kids now-a-days have no respect and think they know it all. I heard a speaker last week who told us that 16 year olds have more arrest for car thefts than any other ages put together for a year!!!! They are the kids of our future? Lord, help us.

What did you expect him to use, an unloaded gun?
(Credit to the Coen brothers for the idea in "Raising Arizona.")
