Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is whining about an order from Texas parole officials that he find a job, the Detroit News reports. The newspaper reports that in an email to a Texas parole official, Kilpatrick is unhappy that the state has told him he can't make some public appearances and out-of-state trips, hurting his ability to earn money. "I'm incredibly confused about why I'm being treated differently than ANYONE else," wrote Kilpatrick, who lives in Grand Prairie. Kilpatrick was released from prison after serving a year on a charge of obstruction of justice but faces a federal corruption probe for what the government describes as a pay-to-play scheme. Kilpatrick first moved to Southlake, then, after his release from prison, to a home he rents in Grand Prairie. - Lois Norder

I think get a job is perfect. He was a thief in Detroit and a scammer in Southlake. If he can't find a job to satisfy his probation officer, perhaps the state of Texas can find him a bed in Huntsville, at taxpayer expense of course!!

It was a sad day in Texas when they took over Kwame's probation allowing him ...once again...to do what he wants at the expense of others. I was born and raised in the Detroit area ...and he is by far the worst of the worst. He is beyond shocking. I lived in Bastrop Texas for many years and know what a proud state Texas is. Having Kwame reside in Texas is certainly nothing to be proud of. The Feds are slowly closing in on him and I believe in the end he will spend most of his remaining days in prison...where he belongs. Keep an eye on him Texas...and watch any money or naive women that he gets near. He is a dangerous man !!!

They ought to ship him back to Michigan so none of my Texas taxes go toward supporting his fat a$$.

Get a job! He doesn't know what a job is. He never held one.
He is a career thief.
