I was listening to this on the police scanner as it was happening. The driver of the truck also struck the investigating officer, from what I heard on the scanner. (West336)

I was talking to a friend of mine, a police officer/security officer just after this happened Friday night, and I also heard that a FWPD officer was nearly run over by the semi's driver. I'm so glad that there were not more fatalities or injuries.
What a frightening story. My prayers go out to the family of the deceased motorist.
