ARLINGTON — A student suffered minor injuries in an accident Thursday evening in the Chemistry and Physics Building at the University of Texas at Arlington. UTA spokeswoman Kristin Sullivan said a student was capping a bottle of nitric acid and the bottle broke. The student was treated at the scene. — Marty Sabota

He wasn't capping it, the bottle exploded which was by his vent where he was working. He wasn't touching it, he just had the misfortune to have his vent next to the waste disposal. The bottle that exploded made a 5 inch cracked on glass of the vent next to his. It's a little ridiculous how this is the "version" of events is being told in such a nonchalant way.
