GRAPEVINE _ Police appealed for help to identify a man posing as a customer who stole more than $15,000 out of a safe from a convenience store in May.
Investigators released photographs of the man which were taken by store surveillance cameras during the May 24 theft.
The cash was stolen about 9 a.m. on May 24 at a Shell station, 1221 east Texas 114.
The man walked into the store, went to the back of it near the bathrooms and forced his way through a locked office door, police said. Once inside the office, the man found a safe that wasn’t locked and took the cash.
He then walked out of the store, got into a 1999 or 2001 white two-door Toyota Solara and drove away.
Anyone with information should call police at 817-410-3623.
