Former Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd, who is awaiting trial on federal drug trafficking charges, was arrested Thursday afternoon in San Antonio after authorities say he violated conditions of his bond by testing positive for marijuana.
Hurd, 27, was arrested at a YMCA without incident by Lone Star Task Force officers who had discovered that Hurd was there visiting a family member.
Hurd was indicted in December on two counts involving conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. He was released on $100,000 bond pending his trial, which is set for October.
