EULESS _ A free child safety seat check program will be held Wednesday by area police and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers who will conduct the inspections.
The program is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of iT’Z Family Fun Center, 1201 W. Airport Freeway.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration statistics have indicated that as many as 80 percent of all car seats are improperly installed.
On Wednesday, DPS troopers and officers from Euless, Grapevine, Hurst, Watauga and Colleyville will be on hand to ensure a child safety seat is installed correctly and securely.
Authorities are encouraging residents to call 817-685-1686 for an appointment on Wednesday, but an appointment is not necessary. Residents can just drive up to the parking lot.
