To protect and serve. Yea right!!! How can two officers of the law not determine that the double amputee wasn't carrying an ink pen in one of his only hands? And then claim that he was cornered by this double amputee and felt that his life was threatened. Was this officer's vision impaired? Or was he so afraid for his life as this double amputee obviously steered his chair with one foot towards him? And his partner who stood perhaps several feet away, determines that his partner's life was in danger opened fire and fatally ending the double amputees life. Aren't officers trained to subdue agitators or criminals using special tactics? and make sound judgment before drawing their weapons? Why didn't they take control of the situation along with the staff who also were present. This is a classic sign of police brutality and a lack of respect for human life! I may not be the smartest person in the world, but I'm sure if I was faced with this situation, I would use my sences to determine right or wrong...this particular cop is dead wrong! These cops surely had their bully clubs, handcuffs, pepper spray and perhaps even a stun gun, but yet a double amputee was taken from this earth due to a lack pure judgment. I guess amputees in wheel chairs will be added to the target practice? Shame on you!
