Weatherford police hope the public will help identify the man whose image was caught by video surveillance (photos shown here) shortly before an armed robbery last week.
Investigators believe this man was casing the store, about 2:30 a.m. Sept. 19, at the On the Run Exxon in the 1800 block of South Main Street.
The man was described as being black, in his 30s, about 160-170 pounds and about 5-feet-10 inches tall. He was dressed in black, including a black ball cap.
He bought some candy and left, but he was soon followed by another man who pulled a camouflage cover over his face, produced a handgun and told a clerk to hand over money or he’d hurt her.
The gunman fled with an undetermined amount of money in a red or maroon four-door sedan.
Anyone with information can call Weatherford police at (817) 598-4300 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at (817) 599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP.
Callers may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 and they can remain anonymous.
