American Dog Rescue Foundation founder and philanthropist Arthur E. Benjamin has added an additional $5,000 to the $35,000 reward in the case of Hope, the pug mix who survived after being found stabbed and her mouth taped.
The deadline for the reward with the additional $5,000 is Friday. After that day, the reward goes back to $35,000.
The additional money is an effort to help the Texas Humane Alliance and the Parker County Sheriff’s Department to locate the suspect or suspects.
Benjamin also has paid for ads in Parker County newspapers in hopes that leads will be developed in the case.
Hope has recovered and was adopted by Fort Worth socialites Charlies and Kit Moncrief. Hope was found on a Parker County ranch owned by the Moncriefs.
Anyone with information should call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at 817-594-3213 or the Parker County Crime Stoppers Hotline at 817-599-5555.
