FORT WORTH – A Tarrant County jury handed down a not guilty verdict on Wednesday in an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon case.
Lucas Gatson Jr., 68, of Fort Worth, was accused of cutting or threatening to cut Gloria Gatson, 85, on April 6 at a residence in the 3100 block of Pioneer Street, according to police records.
According to court records, Gatson was previously sentenced to 45 days in jail on a misdemeanor assault case involving a family member on July 21, 2011. – Mitch Mitchell

I was on this jury and it was awful! We were not provided the evidence we needed to convict him. We felt like the DA dropped the ball and should have got more evidence together before trying this case.
