The man whose home is where Fort Worth teen Claudia Hidic (shown here) was killed during a robbery gone bad has been identified as the person found dead in a burning vehicle in Johnson County, authorities said Tuesday.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Robert Excell Dodson II, 44. Lt. Tim Jones said investigators were not releasing how Dodson was killed before the vehicle was set on fire Sunday night.
He said authorities were talking to Fort Worth police about the Hidic case, which drew national media attention because of the bizarre set of circumstances surrounding her life.
Domingo Ramirez Jr. recounts it all in this report.
