Armed man reported on Texas A&M campus; 'Code Maroon' lockdown in place

Texas A&M University officials have issued a campus-wide alert after an armed man was reported on campus.

The university website reports a "Code Maroon" lockdown alert was issued just before 5 p.m. Thursday after the man was reported.

Information is sketchy, but here's what The Associated Press is reporting.

And here's the Code Maroon information from A&M. It's telling everyone to "remain in place until further notice."
