BEDFORD _ An armed robber who concealed his face with a cloth stole about $700 in cash early Wednesday at a Bedford grocery story before he fled the business, Bedford police said.
No one has been arrested.
The holdup occurred at about 2 a.m. Wednesday at Kroger, 2109 Harwood Road in Bedford.
The unidentified man walked up to a cashier at the store which is open 24-hours, brandished a gun and then demanded money.
After getting the cash, the bandit ran to the northwest corner of the store and ran to a back parking lot where employees lost sight of him, Bedford police.
Witnesses described the robber as about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot, weighing 150 to 170 pounds and about 25 to 30 years-old. He was wearing dark gloves and a black hooded jacket.
