Somebody killed a cow Monday west of Rio Vista in Johnson County -- shot it in the head.
If you don't think that's a big deal, consider that the 1,000-pound bovine was someone's property, worth about $1,500.
This case has the interest of sheriff's deputies, game wadens and special rangers with the Southwestern Cattle Raiser's Association.
