A Houston man and woman are jailed on federal and state charges that they made and distributed videos of living animals being tortured and killed, according to The Associated Press.
The seven-count federal grand jury indictment accuses Ashley Nicole Richards, 22, and Brent Justice, 51, of making eight "animal crush" videos of puppies, chickens and kittens being tortured and killed.
The Houston Chronicle reported that prosecutors believe Richards, throughout 2010, "received emails from clients who offered to pay her to provide so-called 'crush' videos of tortured animals for their sexual gratification."
