Non emergency phone lines at the Hurst Police Department were accidentally cut 2 p.m. Friday by construction crews working on the new justice center, police said.
The department’s 911 lines kept working, according to a news release from Sgt. Craig Teague, police spokesman.
The other lines, however, were disrupted by "intermittent disconnection and inability to receive phone calls from outside numbers," Teague said.
It was unclear Friday afternoon when the lines would be fixed.
"If police service is needed and citizens cannot get through to the Hurst Police Department non emergency, they can call 911," Teague said.
