A 66-year-old Newark man died Friday after a pick-up crashed into the motorcycle he was driving.
Leonard Placker died at the scene as a result of his injuries, said DPS Trooper Lonny Haschel.
The driver of the pick-up was not injured.
A 2007 Ford pick-up was traveling south about five miles north of Newark on Farm Road 718 and turned left directly in front of the motorcycle, causing the crash, Haschel said.
Placker was wearing a helmet, Haschel said.
The crash is still under investigation.
