Prosecutors say 47-year-old Todd M. Fowler of Arlington was sentenced Tuesday by a federal judge in Fort Worth. Fowler in May pleaded guilty to receipt of child pornography using file-sharing software.
Authorities on May 28, 2011, carried out a search warrant at Fowler's residence while he flew home from a trip to Hong Kong.
A stopover at San Francisco International Airport led customs agents to seize his computer. Prosecutors say the laptop had been used to download hundreds of child pornography images.
There is more information in this news release from the U.S. Attorney's office. It includes information about another Arlington man, Michael Borah, 37, who also was convicted in a separate child pornography case.
