Erika Menendez, 31, was being held without bail Monday on a murder charge in the death of Sunando Sen.
She told police she pushed him into a New York City subway train because she thought he was Muslim, and she hates them, according to prosecutors.
Sen was Hindu, not Muslim.
It wasn't clear whether Menendez (shown here) had a diagnosed mental condition.
But her previous arrests for violence and drugs paint a portrait of a troubled woman.

Umm...hating people you don't know IS a "mental condition." Hatred itself is a sickness.

There is NEVER a good reason for murder, and no socially redeeming reason to publish a story that speculates about a reason by juxtaposing a religious motive vs. a motive based on mental condition. This story and its headline imply that cold-blooded murder of a Muslim might be considered "sane" as opposed to mentally disturbed.
Your story is irrelevant, Your headline is downright dehumanizing of Muslims. Shame on you.
And I'm a Christian.
