Investigators say they believe it was an isolated incident, but they encouraged residents to call 911 to report any suspicious activities in a neighborhood.
The incident occurred about 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of Horseshoe Trail, but it wasn’t reported until Saturday.
A woman told police that the child was on the sidewalk when a blue minivan pulled up to the front of the house and a side door opened.
When the driver saw the woman, he rolled down his window and told her he thought the child was lost, police said. The side door was quickly closed as the van drove away.
The woman told police that no one got out of the minivan or approached the child.
Police said the driver was described as a white man in his early 40s with shoulder-length sandy blonde hair and a mustache.
Anyone with information about the case or similar incidents, should call Frisco police at 972-292-6010.
