ALVARADO _ This clown wasn’t funny.
Police have appealed for help to identify a robber who was wearing a clown mask and robbed a service station Sunday night of an undisclosed amount of money.
Authorities released photos of the bandit late Monday taken from the station’s security surveillance cameras.
The robber was armed with a pistol during the holdup at the Shell Travel Center on South Parkway.
The suspect entered the business about 9 p.m. Sunday, wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark pants and the mask.
The clerk cooperated with the bandit and was not injured.
