Booker Bernard Preston, 38, was convicted in September after federal agents identified him as someone who was selling a large amount of firearms and ammunition without the required paperwork, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
During an undercover operation on Nov. 15, 2010, Preston sold a Bryco, Model 48, .380 caliber semiautomatic pistol to a convicted felon, the release said.
During a subsequent search of Preston’s residence, federal agents seized 24 firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun which Preston said he had made the previous week, the release said. — Mitch Mitchell
