Man on scooter dies from Arlington wreck injuries; police seek hit-and-run driver

An Arlington man who was hit by a hit-and-run driver as he drove a motorized scooter last week has died, authorities said Tuesday.

James Hawley, 64, died Monday at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

He suffered multiple blunt force injuries and his death was a homicide, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Arlington police continued their search Tuesday for the driver.
