Authorities don't know whether prosecutor Mark Hasse feared for his life before he was fatally shot Thursday in Kaufman, but on Friday they kept poring through his case files, searching for leads.
Kaufman police Chief Chris Aulbaugh said Hasse (shown here) was a licensed peace officer, but officials refused to say whether he was carrying a weapon when he was slain.
"We are reviewing Mr. Hasse's cases and following up on any leads that would give us rise for a person of interest," Aulbaugh said.
Also Friday, donations were rolling in to fund the reward to help find who killed Hasse.
