A cockfight was busted Saturday near Alvarado. Johnson County sheriff's deputies seized more than 100 birds and arrested 12 people.
Deputies also confiscated nearly $3,000 in blood-splattered cash.
Thirty-three birds (like the ones shown here in this file photo from The Associated Press) were discovered dead on the property.
Domingo Ramirez Jr. reports.
